We believe that reading and meditating on the Word of God is central to becoming the people and church that God has called us to be, a people who walk in godliness (obedience that flows from trust). We are challenging all of our church body to spend daily time in God's Word (or at least 5 days/week!). Many in the church will be doing the M'Cheyne Bible Reading plan which will allow us to read through the entire Bible in a year and the New Testament twice.
Have nothing to do with godless myths and old wives’ tales; rather, train yourself to be godly. 8 For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come. (I Timothy 4:7-8)
Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go. 8 Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. (Joshua 1:7-8)
